Basic Charges:  The four charges of generation,  transmission, distribution, and fixed cost recovery.

Generation Charges: Charge for the production of electric generation.  Generation service is competitively priced, and is not regulated by the P.U.C. Generation prices and charges are set by your cooperative or other electric generation supplier you have chosen.  These charges depend on the terms of service between the customer, and the supplier.

Transmission Charges:  Charges for transmitting electricity from the generation source(s) to your local electric distribution cooperative.  This charge will vary with your source of electric supply, and may be included in your generation charges.

Distribution Charges:  Charges for delivering electricity over your cooperative's electric distribution system to your home or business.  These charges include the costs for billing, remittance processing, member services, outages, maintenance, operations, substations, wires, transformers, etc.

Fixed Cost Recover Charges (FCRC): A charge to recover costs associated with past investment in generation plant, to be applied only during the transition period similar to the CTC charge by investor owned utilities.

Non Basic Charges:  Any category of service not related tot he basic charges explained above.  These charges include security lights, Autoread, new service, and collection fees, etc.
