Electric heat
is a clean and efficient way of
heating your home. In order to make electric heat more
economical, the cooperative has developed an Electric Thermal Storage
(ETS) program consisting of a special rate schedule.
The ETS units heat bricks during off-peak times and
the savings in demand charges can then be passed along to you by way of
a special rate.
Save $24 per year by allowing the cooperative to install a load control
receiver on your water heater. The load management system shuts
off
water heaters and ETS units during a few peak times per month in order
to
avoid expensive demand charges.
You should never realize your water heater is being controlled.
The system works very well and saves thousands and thousands of dollars
each year. These savings help hold down your rates. Many
consumers have signed up for this program. We ask that you
consider joining
this valuable program to help hold down the cost of power and your
electric
bill.

Within a few years you will no
longer be able to purchase the old traditional incandescent light bulbs
we all grew up on. To help cut down on green house effects, and
to help save energy the United States (and the world) are turning to
compact fluorescent lights (CFL's).
Of course one of the biggest questions is how to
dispose of them once they no longer work. To help customers
dispose of their CFL"s, Sullivan County REC has a drop off box located
in our office. So, if you have one, ten, or more, simply drop
them off at our office located on Route 87 just outside of Forksville.

interlocking power cord system that provides a quick, and easy
connection of a portable generator.
GenerLink is installed in 20 minutes or less by
co-op personnel.
GenerLink customers have the flexibility to run
