Sometimes we can all use a little help. And with winter approaching some may need help to keep warm, LIHEAP can help with that. What is LIHEAP? The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps low-income families pay their heating bills. LIHEAP is a grant. You do not have to repay it.

The Department of Human Services has released additional information about their new LIHEAP Recovery Crisis Program. In total, Pennsylvania will receive $34.9 million in additional funding from the federal government.
The program began on May 18, and will run through August 31 or until funds run out. Individuals will be able to apply via a paper application. Attached you will find both English and Spanish versions of the application.
In order to qualify, members will have to meet the usual income thresholds, in addition to being able to show that they are in danger of having their service terminated in the next 60 days. Applicants may qualify for up to $800 in funds.
